Calogero, Emanuele Sortino
Hi, I’m Calogero Emanuele, but I go by Emanuele (I know my colleagues reading this are probably laughing).
I am currently a PhD student in Economics at Bocconi University. My research focuses on decision theory, stochastic choice, microeconomic theory, and behavioural economics.
I completed my MA in Economics at Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin, where I had the chance to strengthen my background in economics and meet some amazing people, with a special mention to my fantastic girlfriend Jessica.
Before starting my PhD, I worked as a pre doctoral researcher at the Free University of Bozen Bolzano. There, I was involved in a project on renewable energy and electricity markets, looking at them from an industrial organization perspective. If I am where I am today, it is largely thanks to CCA, its faculty, and the support of my predoc supervisors.
Outside of work, I try to switch off my brain, even if I do not always succeed. I enjoy reading, watching TV series, and, when the weather is nice, going hiking.
